Blue Pill Award nominee

The Blue Pill award (I assume I don’t have to explain why it is called that) recognizes a moment among the blogosphere of willful denial of an unpleasant reality, as if that denial will make it go away.

Our inaugural nominee is Andrew Sullivan, for in the course of live-blogging reactions to Bin Laden’s death thinking an elephant-shit obvious truth about what was lost in terms of lives & freedoms over one guy was “divisive, bitter and intemperate left-wing rhetoric“.

One Response to Blue Pill Award nominee

  1. Thoreau says:

Thank you, it’s an honor just to be nominated.

Fair warning, if he really lists me in the polling at the end of the year, I intend to campaign mightily to win the award.
