Can’t help but think, re: this story from the Washington Monthly about “card check” unionizing “gee, maybe the problem is having to jump through government hoops to organize in the first place?”

Of course management can violate the rules with impunity.  They have more pull with the people that write & enforce the rules, thus for the most part they hinder the labor force more than the employers.  Solution: drop the rules, tell labor “you wanna organize then just fucking do it”, and get out of the way.  See how eager to ignore unions these companies are when it means their entire supply chain grinds to a halt, on top of mass boycotts & sympathy strikes…
